Sturse is an AI study tool for nursing school. You upload a lecture — slides, notes or a PDF — and it turns that one lecture into exam-style practice questions with a rationale for every answer choice, plus a study guide, flashcards and a tutor that only knows your upload. It is built for getting through nursing school coursework; the questions are NCLEX-style because that is the format most course exams use.
Lecture slides or notes in almost any format: PDF, PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx, .ppsx), Word (.doc, .docx), .rtf, .odt, .odp or plain text, up to 50 MB per file. Everything is converted and read automatically.
Yes. Sturse runs a vision pass on every document and reads the text inside images, screenshots, charts and diagrams, so image-heavy lectures still turn into full quizzes.
ChatGPT and NotebookLM are general tools; Sturse is built only for nursing school. It writes the two question formats nursing exams use, multiple choice and select-all-that-apply, with a rationale for every answer choice, right or wrong. It keeps 100 fresh questions per lecture before anything repeats, puts the questions you have not answered first, and builds the study guide, flashcards and tutor from the same upload. Every question comes from your own lecture, not a question bank.
Sturse LLC, a small company in New York started by a nursing student who built it for their own exams. The prompts behind the questions are tuned on lectures from more than 1,200 nursing programs, and the product is shaped by replies from the students who use it.
Your first lecture is free, with the quiz and study guide included, and no card is needed. The free plan never expires: that lecture and everything built from it stay yours. Pro is for when you want every lecture.
Sturse Pro is $18.99 a month, or less per month on the annual plan; the pricing page shows the current annual price. Either way you can cancel any time in Settings → Manage Billing and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Nothing disappears. Your lecture, its quiz and everything built from it stay yours; you just can’t upload another lecture or make a new quiz until you upgrade.
Cancel and come back whenever classes do. Your documents, quizzes and flashcards wait on the free plan, nothing is deleted, and resubscribing picks up right where you left off.
Sturse is priced for students to begin with, so there is no separate student rate. Some nursing creators who work with us share a code with their followers; if you have one, it goes in at checkout. There is no code hidden on this page.
Sturse generates the two formats nursing exams lean on, multiple choice and select-all-that-apply, in NCLEX style. Every question is built strictly from your uploaded lecture, and every answer choice gets its own rationale.
Every question comes from your own lecture, not a question bank, and each explanation points back to the part of your material it came from, so you can check it against the slide in front of you. AI can still misread a slide, so if a question is ever off, flag it: it is pulled from your quiz and never comes back.
No. Your uploads are used to build your own study material and nothing else. Deleting your account deletes your lectures and everything made from them.
Sturse runs in the browser at sturse.com, on your laptop and on your phone, and everything syncs between them because it is one account. There is no App Store app yet; an iPhone app is being built. On a phone you can add sturse.com to your home screen and it opens like an app.
Each account is one student’s library, and Pro covers that account. What you can share is a quiz: every quiz has a link, and a classmate can take it without an account. Your lectures stay in your library.
